Happy Valentine Day !  

Remember when you bought a box of Heart cards for your classmates?  The teacher sent home a list of classmates names so everyone would receive a valentine.  We decorated our boxes, added a slit on top, so those shy classmates did not have to hand you the card.  Maybe we should send some Valentines cards again.  Let's have some fun with this.   Send handmade, bought or cyber space Valentine's to your special friends.  Think how surprised they will be when they open it.  Guarantee it will put a smile on their face...   The Board met at Linda's lovely four bedroom home.  Linda's beautiful art work is display thru out the new home and Brent now has the family room to display his collections.  I know they are both enjoying their secluded location with flowering bushes and trees that are already blooming. We had fresh Camellia's on the table.  Most of our day was spent planning the March 1st - 3rd, "Spread Your Wings" Retreat and the 2012 WDP Budget. .  We would like WDP to  become a Friend member of the National Museum of Decorative Painting in Atlanta, Ga.  Many of us have visited the museum this last year and know how special the Art, the location, Betty and yes, Andy are.  The members will be voting on this at the next membership meeting.    Linda will be teaching the first Beginner's class on Feb. 7th. at 9 am till 12 noon at the Enterprise Library.  She is going to need a few volunteers to help set up, hand out supplies and clean up.  Please call Linda at 334-389-1096 cell.or Email at lulinda@centurylink.net She will appreciate your help.  I will be teaching on the 14th and I'd love you to help.   REngelland@aol.com   Be sure to stop at the library, to see the wonderful display that Joretta and Becky have set up.  The March display will be vehicles, cars, trucks, tractors, school buses, etc, old or new.  Please bring your display pieces to the Feb. meeting for a chance to win Betty's prize. I've always wanted to paint a old red pickup.  Maybe a Mary Owen's design would be good.  Linda started this challenge a year ago to make us paint, so let's get those brushes out and let the paint fly...
